I learned to drive on the left side of the road last year. The hardest part was in parking lots and also when the turn signal was switched with the windshield wipers. Left, right or rain? Only God knows sometimes.
I also learned that it’s ok to have needs, and when I take care of them, I actually have more space to give others the loving presence that they deserve.
Plants and animals teach me about being at peace with my base needs.

While waiting in line for a “koala close-up” at Cleland Wildlife Park in Adelaide Australia I felt it was time for the Legacy Cacao that I brought with me. As my turn approached, I started saying hi to the koala affirming I am visiting with love and peace; happy to give and receive. When I was next in line, the koala caretaker picked up the koala announcing that “Chloe was distracted by something”, so she was going to bring her to have a nap and return with another koala.

The caretaker arrived back with Coco, and welcomed me to meet him. While we were getting to know each other, the caretaker told me that Coco had come down from a high up tree when she went to find a replacement. Another koala also attached itself to her leg, but Coco came after her insisting he was the one to bring out.

Legacy Cacao, Coco, the caretaker, and I had a peaceful few minutes together. She said Coco is solid and knows how to handle unsettled energy. Also that you can’t usually see the teeth of most koalas, but on Coco you can, and check him out eagerly enjoying his snack. I really received a deep inner peace rewiring that day that has stayed with me.
