When you notice the garbage is full, do you simply take it out, or do you feel the need to dig through it to see all the pieces?

Whether it was filled with things you put in it, stuff someone else in your family threw out, or even something that a friend or repair person who was visiting added, picking it apart only adds to the waste by wasting time delaying the intention.

After all, the life purpose of garbage is all about non-attachment. Letting go so that the Earth may break it down returning it to Source.

Now if you’re deeply connected to the Earth like me, you might be wondering about all the crap that gets thrown away–like plastic– that really doesn’t break down so well. You might also be feeling some guilt about how much gets thrown away.

In my days as a volunteer environmentalist, I learned that post-consumer waste only accounts for a small percentage of waste. The majority of waste actually comes from the production process. Recycling and designing + producing eco-conscious products does help, yet there is a big gap in what is happening on a consciousness level.

In other words, becoming more cognizant of what you’re creating, why you’re creating it as well as the creative process including how you’re producing it really influences what’s in the garbage at the end – both on energetic and physical levels.

The same goes for consuming. Becoming more cognizant of what you’re consuming, why you’re consuming it, and how you’re “digesting” it really influences what’s in the garbage at the end – both on energetic and physical levels.

Knowing all that, how might you adjust what you’re creating from the top down for a lighter, easier to digest, and more Earth friendly garbage in the end?

Wild Blessings,
